Geoff Green

Adventurer and educator Geoff Green has led 66 expeditions to Antarctica and 27 to the Arctic, as well as dozens of other adventures around the globe. Not surprisingly, Geoff was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40” in 2005, and Outpost Magazine recognized him as one of "Five Canadian Explorers to Follow in 2004”. Notable organizations such as the Discovery Channel and the Smithsonian enlist Geoff to lead their expeditions. In 2005, Geoff received a Special Commendation from the U.S. Congress for his work with youth and the environment. In 2003, he received the prestigious Michael J. Smith Award for Science Promotion in Canada, and he was named a Fellow of the Explorer’s Club in New York City. The Explorers Club has awarded Geoff Green and his program Students on Ice with their prestigious Explorers Club Citation of Merit in 2007. The award is in recognition of “outstanding feats of exploration and service.”  
Geoff is the founder of the award-winning organization “Students on Ice Expeditions” which has taken over 600 students, educators and scientists from around the world to the Polar Regions since 1999. He is a passionate ambassador for the protection of the planet’s global ecosystem.  He inspires and motivates groups around the world of all ages with tales of adventure, incredible visuals, and personal observations on topics such as leadership, vision, teamwork, climate change and the power of youth. A charismatic and entertaining speaker, Geoff's presentations are educational, inspirational, and unforgettable.
