Graham Webb

A motivational speech from Graham Webb MBE gives an inspiring and fascinating account of determination and achievement in the face of adversity, which is also covered in his best selling autobiography 'Out Of The Bottle.'   A school drop - out at age fifteen, he grew up in London in government - subsidized housing, and overcame the challenges and embarrassments of congenital spina bifida to eventually forge a big name in the world of business.

Graham is the Co – Founder of globally distributed, multi million dollar hair care company Graham Webb International. The product company was sold to Wella in 2001, who themselves were purchased by Proctor and Gamble in 2003.

Graham is their worldwide 'Goodwill Ambassador.' Graham always gives a compelling account of his personal and professional struggles and accomplishments that resonates and inspires listeners, and has led to many 'standing ovations' and positive reviews of his speeches around the world.

An instinctive entrepreneur, the teenage Graham ignored sixty-two job application rejections, and went on to build a successful career in the UK; and also in the USA with his business partner Robert Taylor, the man behind the blockbuster successes of Softsoap; and the Obsession and Eternity fragrances.

After rising to become chairman of the Institute of Directors (Kent) in the UK, and serving on several councils of the Confederation of British Industry, where, representing the business community, he met Ministers and Prime Ministers, Graham was asked by patron HRH Prince Andrew, and Lord Kingsdown, to be honorary chairman of the NSPCC Kent 'Full Stop Campaign' (the National Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Children) and successfully raised around $1 million for anti child abuse programmes and activities during his 24 months as Honorary Chairman.

Graham rose above the medical problems he kept secret, gained confidence, and despite doctors expectations, became a happily married father of four children after marrying his best friend Mandy- a professional tennis coach, and his wife of thirty - two years. Graham includes in his talks, how he managed to achieve a healthy life – work balance, involving his wife and children in supporting his ambitions. His songwriting daughters 'The Webb Sisters' are now a huge signing with Universal Records, and his two sons are busy professional drummers.

He has tales of his unpredictable encounters with scores of famous and influential musicians, and also describes how he balanced drumming professionally in rock'n'roll bands with building his own global business from scratch, and he gives 'tips' and ideas as he shares the key points that he believes led to his personal success in overcoming his challenges, and the success of his enterprises. To his great surprise and delight, following a letter from No 10 Downing St, in November 2004, Graham appeared in HM The Queen's 2005 New Year Honours List. His investiture took place at Buckingham Palace in June 2005 with the citation –'For services to business, and for charity work in Kent.'  Graham is proud to represent his region as a 'Kent Ambassador.' His motivational story, using powerpoint slides, is embroidered with entrepreneurial insights, humorous anecdotes and startling coincidences.
